§ 6.4. Same—Determination.

  • Rates of pay upon employment shall be fixed at the entrance rate of the class to which the position is allocated except that:

    (a)

    When economic or employment condition makes recruitment of eligibles at the minimum rate for the class difficult, the director may request special entrance rates for that class with the approval of the director of administration and commission.

    (b)

    If a special entrance rate is approved, all employees in the class must be raised to the new entrance rate of the class.

    (c)

    No employee can, because of the rule, exceed the maximum step of the pay plan for the class which his position is allocated.
